·        Energy is defined as the ability to the work

·        Work is defined as the transfer of energy.

If you put energy to an object, then you do work on that object.

Kinds of energy :

1.     Kinetic energy

Kinetic energy is energy that is in motion. Moving water and wind are good examples of kinetic energy.

 

2.     Heat energy

Heat energy is energy that pushed into motion by using heat. An example is a camp fire.

3.     Potential  energy

Potential energy is stored energy. Example is water in lake in a mountain. If it were released it will do a lot of work.

4.     Electrical energy

Electrical energy is when electricity creates motion, light or heat. An example is electric current.

5.     Mechanical energy

Mechanical energy is the energy of motion that does the work. An example is the wind as it turns a windmill.

6.     Sound energy

Sound energy is the energy produced by sound vibration as they travel through a specific medium.
